Well ... I hope you are prepared to be totally underwhelmed. I spent $17.11 & it just so happens everything I got could have been bought at the Family Dollar down the street.
a laundry basket, batteries, a colander, & a tray ...
Bestie was a bit more successful than me. She spent just over $30.00 & came home with batteries, funnels, a spatula, travel toiletry bottles, a colander, & a frying pan. We are anything but glamorous, y'all.
Clearly, a lack luster performance! BUT the road trip is always where the fun is. Turns out we both have bladders the size of 7 month olds & we seriously stopped at 5 different Sheets stores, the outlet, & a Chick-fil-a for potty breaks. We also discovered that while Bestie can remember almost every word from Amy Grant's 1984 "Straight Ahead" album, she can not, in fact, remember to stop & get gas after the gas light comes on. We are all gifted in our own special way!
However, while I was in Charlotte, Priss & Big Brother were living high on the hog with the Mister. My honey sent me lots of pictures of all of the fun going on while I was busy traveling 3 hours to buy batteries.
Priss enjoying breakfast in MY bed ...
Big Brother doing the Nestea Plunge into the pond ...
Priss jumping off the dock wearing a life jacket like a diaper .... bless her!
So, while the IKEA pilgrimage lacked in terms of exciting new goodies ... a good time was had by all! & really the fun is where it's at, y'all!
