love ... that - is - all

Our church is in the middle of a sermon series entitled, "Who Do You Think You Are?" This past weekend, the message was about our need to control others ... umm, ouch! Guess what I learned ... controlling others is not in my job description! Well, how about that!

God ... not me ... is the one in control.

I can't do anything, say anything, throw enough fits, manipulate, pout, give anyone the cold shoulder enough to make them change or to control them. Which, actually, really frees up a lot of my time!

God tells us in His Word that our job is to LOVE OTHERS ... that - is - all!

That LOVE OTHERS command is not followed by ... that are nice to us, that do what we want them to, that look & act like us, that believe what we believe. We are just supposed to LOVE ... period!
