We look for peace in lots of different places ....
people, shopping (guilty), exercise (not guilty), food, alcohol, drugs ...
Before Christ died, He told His disciples, "Peace I leave with you, my peace I give you. I do not give peace to you as the world gives" (John 14:27). The world will disguise lots of things as peace, but the only REAL peace comes from Christ (Romans 5:1).
So, while we chase peace around like it's some sort of hard-to-find treasure, REAL peace is waiting for us to ask for it. It's so simple ...
Emma, this is my favorite scripture. Very often, I pray this prayer for people in need or under stress. I feel like this is the key to Faith! Be blessed!
