"because of our faith, He has brought us
into a place of
highest privilege
where we can stand, & we confidently
& joyfully look forward to
sharing God's glory."
Romans 5:2
Privilege .... that word makes me think of riches & royalty. And I guess it should, because once we find salvation through Christ we have both! Not in a temporary, worldly sense ... but in an eternal sense.
Romans 5:2 makes living a Christ-centered life sound really easy .... privilege, confidence, joy, sharing God's glory! But, you have to keep reading ... that's the really good part!
" ... when we run into problems & trials ... they help us learn to be patient. And patience develops strength of character in us and helps us trust God more each time ..." (Romans 5:3&4)
While serving Christ does bring us into a place of high privilege, it does not erase our problems or make all of our troubles disappear. What it does do, is use our trials to build our character. Trials becomes opportunities for our patience & faith in Jesus to grow and develop.
He never promised our walk with Him to be a cake walk! BUT He does promise to never leave us or forsake us ... to use our trials to strengthen us ... to prove Himself faithful over & over again!
