Being unselfish & considerate goes so much against our human nature. Everything within us screams to do what's in OUR best interest ... to do what makes US happy. It's so easy to fall for it & let our very flawed human nature win.
Being unselfish & considerate is what we are called to be. To let Christ in us be what sets us apart from others ... to not let our natural desire to look out for #1 overcome us.
The way we treat others says so much more about our faith than anything else. John 13 says, "... love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples..." When we treat others in a way that shows compassion we are honoring Christ.
Putting others before ourselves & showing kindness even when we feel it is so undeserved isn't the easy thing to do, but it's the right thing to do.
