Our family has suffered two very difficult deaths over the past week. Our family had prepared ourselves for both deaths ... they were not unexpected. However, no matter how prepared you are for someone's passing, it is never easy. It's such a strange feeling for someone that's always been here to just, all of a sudden, be gone.
The Bible compares our lives to a mist ... here for just a little while & then gone.
It's difficult to get past the selfishness of wanting them here. And while it is so sad for those of us left behind ... imagining the joy they are now experiencing & knowing that we will be reunited one day brings a great peace.
