a little pinspiration: stringing hearts!

Well, we're half-way through January ... I know, time's flying. My mama says "time ain't as long as it used to be" & the older I get, the more I agree with her. Anyway, February will be knocking on the door before you know it & that means Valentine's Day is quickly coming!

I don't overdo seasonal decorations throughout the year (says a girl who happens to have a foam deer named Bruce draped in snowflake ribbon & a white pom pom scarf hanging on her wall), BUUUUT I do like to have a little smidge of whatever holiday is approaching somewhere around the house. And the mantle is a great place to get festive!

Of course, Pinterest gave me tons of cute Valentine's Day ideas! I went with a SUPER EASY heart doily bunting to drape on our mantle. All that's needed is a few paper heart doilies (I found mine at Michael's) & yarn or twine.

Just string your yarn or twine through the doilies ...

 & there you have it!
