when football requires hip waders ...

if you have ever doubted

that southerners take their football seriously

i would like to reassure you that

we, in fact, do.

& i can tell you this information

with great authority because yesterday
i sat through big brother's football
game in the remnants of tropical storm
"i wish it would rain 37 hours straight".

it may be just me, but you truly haven't lived
until you've been to
 a football game that requires you
to drive around down limbs
in the road to get there
OR
that requires you
wearing hip waders & a poncho
because it is raining sideways...

before i left for the game i sent this text to the bestie ...

because it just seemed like
a fiery hedge was necessary!

& thank goodness we won!
