i started reading
The Shack
last weekend.
now, i realize i am about
5 years late to this party &
i am probably the last
God-fearing Christian in the free world to read it.
however,
in my defense ...
i've been too busy reading karen kingsbury's
baily flanigan series to be bothered
with something more than 4" deep.
let me tell you,
i was in no way prepared for what lies on The Shack's pages!
by chapter 4, i was a crying mess
& scolding my mister for not
preparing me for what i had read!
but, he promised me that
the story unfolds in beautiful redemption.
&, boy, does it!!!
&, boy, does it!!!
if you haven't read The Shack ...
I encourage you to
put down your People Magazine & read it!!!
it is a beautiful story &
destroys all of the nice
little neat stereotypical boxes
we try to fit God into.
the story has reminded me so
much of the way God intended
our relationships with Him & others to be.
not about power... but forgiveness, service & submission.
if you have read it or decide to read it ...
i'd LOVE to know what little
nuggets of wisdom you get out of it!!!
