...the flames will not consume you!

i try to keep this

little slice of blogland real estate

a happy & fun place...

a place where paint colors &

defending ceiling fans

are the only things that matter.

but, you know...
in real life, those things
don't matter at all &
we all have our "junk" we have to deal with.

i came across this scripture a couple of weeks ago
& it gives such promise...

"when you go through

deep waters & great trouble

I WILL BE WITH YOU.

when you go through

rivers of difficulty

YOU WILL NOT DROWN!

when you walk through

the fire of oppression

YOU WILL NOT BE BURNED UP

THE FLAMES WILL NOT CONSUME YOU."

Isaiah 43:2

what is your deep water?

your great trouble?

your river of difficulty?

your fire of oppression?

we all have them ....

this life can be full of them.

what do we do???

how do we make it better???

it can be so frustrating when we

feel we have absolutely no control over situations.

but look at the promises in that verse!!!

I WILL BE WITH YOU.

YOU WILL NOT DROWN!

YOU WILL NOT BE BURNED UP.

THE FLAMES WILL NOT CONSUME YOU!

we don't have to know what to do...

we don't have to know how to make it better...

we don't have to be in control...

God is not surprised by our situation or our "junk"...

God has already promised to take care of it for us

& not only that...

He's right beside us the entire time!!!



i'm sick of the fires of oppression

we all have to walk through ...

but i know the

flame will not consume!

God knows the outcome.

He's already there!

 & i am so thankful to have that promise!
