time for me to share one of my favorite things!
i absolutely LOVE
The Jesus Storybook Bible.
don't be mislead by the "storybook" in the title ...
this book is great for all ages .... 4 to 104!
i first heard about this book
a few years ago
when my mr. & i went to see a performance of
"behold the lamb" ...
the author of the musical read this passage:
"There are lots of stories in the Bible, but all the stories
are telling one Big Story. The Story of how God
loves his children and comes to rescue them.
It takes the whole Bible to tell this Story.
And at the center of every Story, there is a baby.
Every Story in the Bible whispers his name. He is like
the missing piece in a puzzle - the piece that
makes all the other pieces fit together,
and suddenly you see a beautiful picture." (p. 17)
people, have you ever
read a more perfect description
of my friend, Jesus?!?!?
needless to say .... i ordered my copy the
VERY NEXT DAY!
it is one of the most beautifully written
books i have ever read &
it presents the story of Christ
in such a simple way.
the illustrations are beautiful ...
& so is the message!
... just one of my favorite things ...
