come just as you are ...

i am sorry to report

that i took

"come just as you are"

to a whole other level this past weekend

at church.

our church has a Saturday night service

that we regularly attend.

it's more of a laid back, casual

service which we love.

however, time totally

got away from me this past Saturday,

what with all of the

football watching & trash talk

i was involved in

when my pirates spanked played the tarheels.

& before i realized it,

it was time to leave for the church house.

y'all ... i took priss to church

wearing jorts (jean shorts),

a camouflage jacket,

& socks that didn't even match.

true story ...

they are precious in His sight, amen?

& not only that ...

she ended up on stage to help

with something during the service. 

i know ... 

i am shaking my head as i relive it in my mind.

but ... you know what ...

nobody looked at her funny

or asked her to please sit in the back

because she wasn't dressed "appropriately" for church.

& i'm so thankful that my church

welcomes us all ...

even if your mama forgot to make sure your socks match.
