one of my favorite

Bible stories from my childhood

is found in Daniel 3.

it's the story of

Shadrach, Meshach, & Abednego.

 

as a child,

it always amazed me that

they were thrown into

a fiery furnace & came out

totally unharmed.

as i've gotten older,

the thing that amazes me even more

is the faith those 3 had in God.

they were able to walk into that furnace

& believe that their God would

rescue them ...

one way or another!

 

what a wonderful way to walk through life.

no matter what comes our way,

believing God will rescue us.

 

when things don't go the way

we planned for them to in our life ...

or

when we are hit with

seemingly impossible situations ...

or

when we are left

 disappointed, alone, confused, hopeless ...

  have faith that God will rescue us!

 

i love Daniel 3:17 & 18 ...

those boys say,

"the God we serve can rescue us ...

"but if not, it wouldn't make a difference"

they knew that their God was still God

no matter if they were rescued or if they died in that furnace.

 

we may have a lot of

"but if nots" in our life ...

failed relationships

broken hearts

unmet expectations

disappointments

 

know that God is still God!

He will rescue our situation

in His way & in His timing.

have faith!
