favorite things friday: big brother & deep thoughts ...

big brother turns 12 in a few weeks.

he's our oldest & was

born with the soul of a 70-year-old ...

he's a deep thinker.

last week a friend of mine posted this on facebook ...

i loved it & reposted.

big brother & i were talking about

the quote & he profoundly said:

"it's like...

life may sometimes stink,

but you don't have to ....

so take a shower!"

ever felt like you've

been hit in the head with a brick

when you're talking to someone?!?!?

well, i did!

he was sooooo right!

sometimes life may stink.

sometimes we may feel like we've been wronged.

sometimes we may get the short end of the stick.

but....

that doesn't mean we have to stink, too!

it's all about attitude!

& y'all... sometimes my attitude could use a shower!

there are some many days

when i need to wash off

frustration

a bad attitude

a short fuse
wrong motives

lack of patience...

{just to name a few}.

so, thanks to my almost 12-year-old
with the old soul 

for reminding me

that even though life may stink sometimes,

i don't have to!
